Forensic Behavioural Sciences and Justice Studies
The Centre for Forensic Behavioural Sciences and Justice Studies is a gateway to information, knowledge and enquiry into the broad domains of crime, justice and corrections. Crossing the boundaries of the social sciences, health sciences, management, and law, the Centre fosters a variety of interdisciplinary research, education and engagement activities aimed at understanding critical issues of crime and justice, and examining the criminal justice and corrections systems in Canada and elsewhere in relation to the offender populations, victims and public they are intended to serve.
Established in 2011, the Centre is led by Dr. J. Stephen Wormith, Professor, Department of Psychology and former University of Saskatchewan Research Chair in Forensic Psychology, with widespread faculty involvement representing the Colleges of Arts & Sciences, Education, Law, Medicine, Nursing, the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, the School of Public Health, and the Edwards School of Business.
