Presented by the Saskatchewan Council for International Cooperation, the Department of Political Studies at the University of Saskatchewan, and the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC)

MCC Education Coordinator Erika Thogersen will highlight MCC’s current Climate Action for Peace Campaign alongside a screening and discussion of the MCC Documentary “Women Will Renew.” This Global Café seeks to increase awareness about MCC partners in Mwenezi District, Zimbabwe, and the vital work being done to find solutions to both climate change and gender inequity in the Global South.

Erika Thogersen has been the constituency relations and education coordinator at MCC since January 2022. In her role, she is responsible for building relationships with churches and community groups as well as coordinating educational experiences around peace and justice themes. Erika has a BA in international studies from the University of Saskatchewan and an MSc in international public administration and politics from Roskilde University in Denmark. Prior to joining MCC, Erika worked in the education system and the settlement sector.
