The best camera is the one that’s with you! Thanks to the technology wars between phone manufacturers, we now carry a remarkably powerful camera with us almost all of the the time. Throughout this course, students will discover the capabilities of these cameras and the apps associated with them, build an understanding of the technical basics of photography, and improve their photography. Each lesson will include a lecture, critique, a guided photography experience, and a series of prompts to be completed for the next lesson.

Supplies

  • A mobile device with a built in camera (phone or tablet)
  • Photo editing app (built in, as well as Lightroom Mobile)
  • Optional: a lightweight tripod with a phone adaptor
